The Society is now well established and arranges activities to help further it’s objectives.
The Annual Conference is one of the main events in the Society’s calendar and at present is a ‘free to members’ event.
The day consists of seminars on relevant topics, workshops, a restaurant lunch, the George Sykes Memorial Award and opportunities to network with our numerous exhibitors.
Also established in our annual calendar is our European Isolator and RABS Conference and Exhibition. It will be held again in Dublin in November after the success of this years event which took place at the Citywest Hotel.
The Society is also developing links within the Pharmaceutical Industry in India and we are planning to hold annual conferences there , as well as providing a reliable source of information.
As a ‘not for profit’ Society we have, for the past couple of years, run some Pharmacy Isolator Training Courses which have been free to the NHS, with the idea of ‘giving something back’ – especially at this difficult economic time for the NHS.
The Society also runs various courses throughout the year on relevant topics and tends to have speakers from Industry with the expertise in their subjects.
The George Sykes Memorial Award is open each year to practising Scientists from all branches of Parenteral Science and is designed to encourage the furtherance of knowledge in the field of Parenteral Science.
PHSS Technical Monographs
The Society has different ‘special interest groups’ who put together Technical Monographs on their subjects of expertise. These hardworking groups have in the past published their monographs which form some of the most up-to-date knowledge within the field and these monographs are purchased worldwide.
