Special Interest Groups open to all PHSS Members

Our members’ Special Interest Groups are a key part of the Society’s activity. As well as joining PHSS, many members also join one or more of the specialist Groups which concentrate more closely upon their chosen interests.

A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a community with an interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge, learning or technology where members cooperate to affect or to produce solutions within their particular field. SIG members communicate, meet, and organize events. They may at times also advocate or lobby on a particular issue or on a range of issues.

A number of our SIGs have collaborated in the production of Technical Monographs in their specialist area. Access to these valuable documents, conveying current thinking and best practice, is available to PHSS members.

All our Groups are run by members on a voluntary basis. If you would like to get involved with any of our Groups please click on the links below for more information.

This group has produced many monographs for PHSS. Due to work commitments and movements this group is currently looking to recruit new members.

This is a new group, the leader of the group is James Drinkwater. The aim of this group is to release a much needed monograph for the purposes of best practice in Leak Testing.

The Welsh QP Forum was started in 2012 by a groups of local QPs who put together a position paper to the MHRA regarding the classification of NIMPS.

This blossomed into an active group who meet quarterly for regulatory updates and annually for a one day conference. The group also helps a local university deliver courses on GMP and GDP.

This group is now reforming and we would be interested if you would like to join us?
